Over the past few months, I’ve been writing a series of articles for theWire.in about the Earth’s natural and geological history. Big History is something I am terribly interested in and this seemed perfect to write about. I’ll continue updating this piece as I write more. But for now, here is the series, chronologically:
- The formation of Earth, supercontinents, life, and atmospheric oxygen.
- The first ice age, the first major mass extinction, and the first multi-cellular organisms.
- The transition of life to land, the second major mass extinction, and the Age of Fish.
- The last supercontinent, first true trees, and 7-foot dragonflies.
- The Great Dying
I think I have about five more pieces to go.
